Dhaka: The second seminar for the Faculty of Sciences at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) under the research project was successfully conducted on Monday. The University's Research and Extension Office facilitated the seminar in the virtual classroom of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Academic Building-2.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BRUR Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali, who attended as the chief guest, emphasized the importance of research in enhancing the university's quality. He highlighted the expanded scope and periphery of research at BRUR, aimed at enabling researchers to complete their work more efficiently and effectively. He also stressed the necessity of regularly updating the profiles, publications, and work areas of teachers on the university's website to boost its global ranking.
The seminar was chaired by Professor Dr Md Elias Pramanik, Director of the Department of Research and Extension at BRUR. Special guests included Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Professor Dr Bijon Mohan Chaki, and Professor of the Department of Chemistry at Rajshahi University, Dr Md Azhar Ali. They addressed the seminar and contributed valuable insights on the research proposals.
Professors from various universities participated as external expert members, offering their perspectives and guidance on the ongoing research initiatives. Teachers from the BRUR Faculty of Sciences presented the progress and future plans of their research projects, engaging in discussions on making research activities more effective and timely.
