Dhaka: BNP Secretary General and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today confirmed that the presidential election will proceed on schedule as outlined by the Constitution. He made these remarks while addressing journalists after the inauguration of the divisional office of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) in the wholesale fish market area on RK Road, near the Rangpur Central Bus Terminal.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mirza Fakhrul inaugurated the Rangpur divisional BRDB office with a formal plaque unveiling ceremony, where he served as the chief guest. During his address, he emphasized that the nominations for the presidential post would align with the party's decision-making process.
The event was attended by notable figures including Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam, Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Md Shamsuzzaman Samu, District Council Administrator Md Saiful Islam, Rangpur City Corporation Administrator Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Chowdhury Don, along with senior officials of BRDB, and BNP leaders and activists.
