Govt Releases Hajj 2027 Roadmap, Calls for Registration Completion by Sept 26

Dhaka: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has unveiled the roadmap for Hajj 2027 (Hijri 1448), urging prospective pilgrims to complete their registration by September 26 this year.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ministry’s Hajj-1 Branch issued a release stating that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the Hajj 2027 schedule during a ceremony held in Jeddah on May 29. The schedule was subsequently handed over to religious affairs ministers from various countries.



Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) attended the event as an invited guest. During the occasion, Saudi Assistant Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah formally presented the Hajj roadmap to Minister Hossain.



The roadmap outlines that the bilateral Hajj agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will be signed on November 8, 2026. The issuance of Hajj visas is set to commence on January 28, 2027, with Hajj flight operations scheduled to begin on April 8, 2027. The holy Hajj is expected to be observed on May 15, 2027 (9 Jilhaj), subject to the sighting of the moon.



The release further detailed that the transfer of Saudi-side expenses to the e-wallet of the Masar Nusuk platform will proceed from July 15 to December 24 this year. The process of signing agreements for comprehensive service packages, including tents, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, catering, and transportation via the Masar Nusuk platform, will start on July 29, 2026, and continue until January 23, 2027.



Additionally, pilgrims’ information is required to be uploaded to the Masar Nusuk system between August 14, 2026, and January 28, 2027. Agreements with designated airlines for transporting Hajj pilgrims and completing necessary documentation in the Masar Nusuk system will occur between July 29 and November 8 this year.



The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged all parties involved to adhere to the roadmap and complete the Hajj-related activities as outlined.
