Dhaka: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has successfully removed approximately 23,791 tonnes of Qurbani waste from various areas under its jurisdiction over the past two days.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the collected waste was deposited at the Matuail Landfill. The DSCC reported that on the day of Eid-ul-Azha, 14,814 tonnes of waste were transported to the landfill by 11:59 pm. On the following day, an additional 8,977 tonnes of waste was cleared and dumped by 11:59 pm.
