Dhaka: Minister for Fisheries, Livestock, and Agriculture Mohammed Amin Ur Rashid and State Minister Sultan Salauddin Tuku today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the sudden demise of Dr Mohammad Mahbubul Alam, Deputy Director of the Central Artificial Insemination Laboratory in Savar. In a joint condolence message, they commended the late officer’s dedication, professionalism, and sincerity.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Alam was a distinguished officer of the 24th BCS (Livestock) cadre under the Department of Livestock Services. He suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at around 11 am while performing government duties at the Savar Radio Colony Qurbani cattle market. Despite being transported to a nearby hospital immediately, he passed away en route.
The ministers highlighted Dr. Alam’s professionalism, humanity, and kind behavior, which made him a deeply loved and respected figure within the livestock department. They noted that his untimely demise has created an irreparable void in the agriculture and livestock sector.
Dr. Alam is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter, numerous colleagues, and a host of relatives and admirers who mourn his death. The minister and state minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed their deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members.
