President Shahabuddin to Host Eid-ul-Azha Reception at Bangabhaban

Dhaka: President Mohammed Shahabuddin and First Lady Dr. Rebeka Sultana are set to host a special reception at Bangabhaban tomorrow in celebration of Eid-ul-Azha, the second-largest religious festival for Muslims. The event will welcome a diverse group of attendees, including high-ranking government officials, diplomats, and prominent members of society.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the reception is scheduled to take place from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban. During this time, the Head of State will exchange festive greetings with people from various sectors. President’s Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam informed that the President will also use the occasion to extend his Eid greetings to the nation and the global Muslim community through the media.



Several hundred distinguished guests, along with their spouses, have been invited to attend the presidential reception. The guest list includes the Chief Justice, former presidents, cabinet ministers, state ministers, advisers to the Prime Minister, foreign diplomats, Supreme Court judges, and university vice-chancellors. Senior politicians, business leaders, high-ranking civil and military officials, editors, journalists, writers, poets, academics, intellectuals, and artists will also be present.



Guests will enjoy traditional festive delicacies during the reception. Following the official ceremony, President Shahabuddin will spend the remainder of the day celebrating Eid with his family at Bangabhaban.
