Chittagong: Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan has extended warm greetings and Eid Mubarak to Muslims in the Hill Tracts and across the world on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. In a message today, the minister said Eid-ul-Azha conveys the values of sacrifice, compassion, humanity, and social harmony, fostering bonds of unity among people.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister emphasized that the spirit of sacrifice promotes equality, mutual respect, social cohesion, and a sense of responsibility towards human welfare. Referring to the Prime Minister’s call for building a sustainable and harmonious Bangladesh, he urged all to strengthen communal harmony and coexistence.
Dipen Dewan called upon the people of both hills and plains in the Chittagong Hill Tracts to celebrate Eid in the spirit of peace, harmony, and goodwill. He remarked that the true essence of Qurbani lies not only in the sacrifice of animals but also in self-purification, compassion, and standing beside the underprivileged.
The minister stressed that sharing Eid joy with all and strengthening bonds of fraternity and goodwill should be the guiding spirit of the festival. He also urged everyone to perform Qurbani in compliance with health guidelines, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring environment-friendly practices. Finally, he prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the country.
