President to Host Eid-ul-Azha Reception at Bangabhaban on May 28

Dhaka: President Mohammed Shahabuddin will host a reception at Bangabhaban on May 28 to mark Eid-ul-Azha, a significant religious festival for Muslims. The event is scheduled to take place from 11:20 am to 12:00 noon on the day of Eid, where the President and his spouse, Dr. Rebeka Sultana, will exchange greetings with individuals from various sectors at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the President’s Press Secretary, Md Sarwar Alam, stated that the President will also convey Eid greetings to the nation and the global Muslim community through media channels. The reception will include interactions with distinguished personalities such as senior politicians, judges, and other notable figures from different professions.



Several hundred esteemed guests have received invitations to attend the reception. The guest list features the Chief Justice, former presidents, ministers, state ministers, advisers to the Prime Minister, foreign diplomats, judges from the Supreme Court, vice-chancellors, editors, senior journalists, writers, artists, leaders of political parties, business leaders, and high-ranking civil and military officials.



Bangabhaban sources revealed that attendees will enjoy traditional delicacies during the occasion. Following the reception, the President is expected to spend time with family members at Bangabhaban.
