Dhaka: Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury on Wednesday emphasized Bangladesh's intent to foster deeper engagement with US investors and institutions, notably the US International Development Finance Corporation. The focus is on advancing partnerships in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, digital connectivity, logistics, and services.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Minister Chowdhury expressed Bangladesh's openness to increased US investment and stronger supply chain cooperation. He highlighted the vision for enhanced collaboration between universities, researchers, entrepreneurs, and the diaspora communities residing across various US states.
Speaking as the chief guest at the US National Day Reception at the United Convention Centre in Dhaka, Chowdhury reflected on the strong ties forged between Bangladesh and the US through diplomacy, trade, and educational exchanges. He stressed the importance of deepening these partnerships for the benefit of future generations, expressing optimism about the future of Bangladesh-United States relations.
