AL Accused of Embezzling Thousands of Crores Through IT: Moyeen Khan

Palash: Member of Parliament and BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan alleged today that the Awami League government has embezzled thousands of crores of taka through information technology over the past 17 years. Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a three-day land services fair in Palash upazila, Khan criticized the government for failing to simplify processes for the citizens despite technological advancements.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Khan highlighted that while the government has undertaken numerous IT initiatives, these have not translated into tangible improvements for the populace. He emphasized the importance of not only making promises but also ensuring the IT system is streamlined and accessible for all citizens.

Khan further stated that the current government is committed to resolving the complexities surrounding land services. In pursuit of this goal, electronic land services have been launched nationwide to facilitate easier access for the people.

The event was presided over by Palash Upazila Executive Officer Ishtiaque Ahmed and featured speeches from various officials, including Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rakin Mashrur Khan, Palash Police Station OC Shahed Al-Mamun, and several BNP representatives and activists.
