Three Individuals Remanded in Connection with Attack on Shah Ali Shrine

Dhaka: A court here has placed three individuals on a two-day remand each in connection with a case filed over an attack on the shrine of Hazrat Shah Ali located in the capital’s Mirpur on May 14. The accused, identified as Md Azam, Sheikh Md Sajjadul Haque Russel, and Arman Dewan, were presented before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman, who issued the remand order following a police request for a three-day remand for each suspect.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the attack occurred during a weekly urs on Thursday when a group of unidentified individuals vandalized the shrine, resulting in injuries to a couple of devotees. The case related to this incident was officially filed on May 16.
