Dhaka: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, advising river ports in eight regions of Bangladesh to display warning signal number 1. The affected areas include Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Jessore, Kushtia, and Faridpur.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the weather forecast issued for the country’s inland river ports is set from 3:30 pm today until 1:00 am tomorrow night. The forecast indicates the possibility of temporary gusty or squally winds originating from the west or northwest, with speeds ranging between 45 to 60 kmph. These winds may be accompanied by rain or thundershowers in the specified regions.
River ports in the mentioned areas have been instructed to display warning signal number 1 as a precautionary measure due to the anticipated weather conditions.
