Rajshahi: Mohammad Fayzul Kabir, the newly appointed Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), has announced his commitment to achieving visible improvements in law and order and public services within the next two months. He shared this goal during a meeting with journalists from various media outlets at the RMP Headquarters.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Police Commissioner addressed questions from journalists after the introductory session, emphasizing that police operations will be intensified to tackle all forms of crime, including drug-related offenses and gambling, in the city. He stressed that all RMP units have been instructed to ensure police activities are service-oriented, people-friendly, and free from any form of harassment.

Efforts will be focused on transforming every police station into a ‘zero complaint’ station.
The new commissioner urged RMP officers across all ranks to perform their duties with independence, professionalism, and a strong emphasis on public interest. He also encouraged journalists and citizens from all sectors to collaborate with the police by providing specific information to help make Rajshahi a safe, peaceful, and livable city.
The exchange meeting was attended by senior RMP officials, including Md. Faruk Hossain, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime); Mohammad Khorshed Alam, Deputy Police Commissioner; and Gaziur Rahman, Deputy Police Commissioner (CTTC).
