Khulna: Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) today awarded 30 members of its traffic division with financial incentives in recognition of their commendable performance over the past month. The award recipients included 20 constables, five assistant town sub-inspectors (ATSIs), and five sergeants/traffic sub-inspectors (TSIs).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the award-giving ceremony was held at the conference room of KMP headquarters. KMP Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Hasan attended the event as the chief guest. Addressing the function, the police commissioner emphasized the significance of the traffic division as the most visible wing of Bangladesh Police, as people directly observe and evaluate its activities.
He instructed traffic personnel to discharge their duties with honesty, efficiency, dedication, and patience. Mohammad Zahidul Hasan also urged police members to maintain respectful behavior with rickshaw pullers, drivers, and common people. He mentioned that the recognition and reward program for good performance would continue in the future, serving as further inspiration for police members in carrying out their duties.
Among others, Additional Police Commissioner Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan, Additional Police Commissioner Muhammad Shahnewaz Khaled, and Deputy Police Commissioner Shafiqul Islam were present.
