Dhaka: Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher today directed officials of the National Housing Authority (NHA) to ensure that no harassment occurs in providing services to common people. The minister made the remarks at an exchange of views meeting held at the conference room of the National Housing Authority at Segunbagicha in the capital today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister emphasized that the activities and land management system of the National Housing Authority would be digitized. He assured that the ministry would provide comprehensive support in implementing any beneficial initiatives undertaken by the authority.
Addressing the officials, Minister Taher highlighted the detrimental impact of excessive greed for money on morality, humanity, and social values in society. He underscored the importance of self-criticism, self-purification, and the practice of honesty to secure a better future for the next generation.
State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahammad Sohel Monzoor reiterated the significance of the National Housing Authority as a service-oriented institution directly involved in fulfilling the housing dreams of common people. He stressed the importance of ensuring easy, speedy, and harassment-free services, including the transfer of ownership and related services, noting that individuals invest their lifetime savings to purchase a flat or plot.
The meeting was attended by NHA members Alamgir Hossain, SM Sohrab Hossain, Engineer AKM Shahjalal Mojumdar, and Md Abdul Gaffar, along with officials and employees from various levels. Officials of the authority also discussed their activities and presented various proposals during the meeting.
