Rajshahi: Agriculturist Hasan Zafir Tuhin has joined Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) as its chairman at the head office of the state-run organization here today. The newly appointed Chairman formally took charge at an event organized by the Head Office of BMDA, which featured a reception and an exchange of views meeting.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hasan Zafir Tuhin addressed the gathering, expressing his ambition to fulfill the aspirations of the region's agriculture sector and its farmers. He emphasized the importance of bringing smiles to the faces of farmers, stating, "When farmers smile, Bangladesh smiles." Tuhin urged all stakeholders to work together in unity to achieve this vision.
The event was presided over by BMDA's Executive Director, Abu Sayeed Kamruzzaman. The gathering was graced by special guests, including members of the BMDA Board of Directors, Mr. Jafurullah, Saiful Islam Hirok, and Badrul Laily. At the conclusion of the meeting, BMDA officers and employees, representing various organizations, extended floral greetings to the new Chairman.
Following the meeting, Hasan Zafir Tuhin conducted an inspection of various projects, including the Sarmangla Canal in Godagari Upazila in the district.
