Dhaka: Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed today stated there is no likelihood of a ‘push in’ following the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) victory in the West Bengal elections. Despite this assurance, he has directed the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to remain vigilant along the borders to ensure they can respond quickly if any such situation arises.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister addressed reporters following a session on the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Deputy Commissioners’ Conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital. He expressed optimism that no incidents of ‘push in’ would occur, indicating confidence in the current border management strategies.
