FM, Verma Review Ties at Farewell

Dhaka: Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and outgoing Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma today reviewed ongoing bilateral developments and expressed optimism over the future direction of Bangladesh-India relations. High Commissioner Verma paid a farewell call on the foreign minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting included a brief review of recent developments in bilateral relations, with both parties expressing confidence that the partnership would continue to grow. This growth is expected to be driven by the new capabilities and evolving aspirations of both nations.



The outgoing envoy reiterated India’s intention to work closely with the people and government of Bangladesh. This cooperation aims to further strengthen people-centric collaboration across all sectors, aligning with the development priorities of both countries and based on mutual interest and mutual benefit.



Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman expressed gratitude to Verma for his contributions to strengthening Bangladesh-India relations during his tenure and extended his best wishes for Verma’s success in his new assignment. Verma reciprocated by thanking the foreign minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their consistent cooperation in advancing relations between the two neighboring countries.
