Khulna: A young man was found hanging at his house in the city’s Railway New Colony on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Nazmul Hossain, 35, son of Ali Ahmed Farazi of the colony.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Inspector (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station Mizanur Rahman reported that Nazmul had requested Tk 2,500 from his father on Friday night. When his father refused to give him the money, Nazmul left the house and was missing until his body was discovered. Rahman noted that similar incidents of Nazmul leaving home had occurred in the past, and the family had not maintained contact with him after he left on this occasion.
On Sunday morning, Nazmul’s father went out to search for him and discovered him hanging inside the house. The police were informed, and they recovered the body around 10:00am, subsequently sending it to Khulna Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
