Jashore: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Jashore tomorrow to inaugurate different development projects, lay the foundation stone of a medical college, and join a street rally. The premier will leave Dhaka for Jashore by air in the morning, said Prime Minister’s Press Wing here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after reaching Jashore, Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the Ulashi canal excavation project in Sharsha upazila and address a civic reception there. After returning to Jashore town, Rahman, who is also the ruling BNP chairman, will take a short break at the Circuit House.
In the afternoon, he will lay the foundation stone of Jashore Medical College Hospital and address a public rally at Jashore Central Eidgah ground. After completing the daylong activities, the Prime Minister is expected to leave for Dhaka by air in the evening.
This visit marks his first trip to Jashore after assuming office as the Prime Minister following a landslide victory in the February 12 general election. It is also his second visit to the district over the last three months. Earlier, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman joined an election rally at Jashore Upashahar Degree College ground on February 2.
