‘Amra BNP Paribar’ Extends Support to Family of Martyr Engineer Shahriar

Dhaka: ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ has stepped forward to support Shahidul Islam, the ailing father-in-law of martyr engineer Shahriar, who lost his life during the 2024 student-people mass uprising. The initiative comes as a gesture of solidarity and assistance to the grieving family.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP Chairman and chief patron of ‘Amra BNP Paribar’, Tarique Rahman, upon learning about Shahidul Islam’s illness, instructed his Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon, to ensure necessary support measures. Responding to this directive, a delegation from ‘Amra BNP Paribar’, led by its Member Secretary, Agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun, visited the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in the capital. The delegation conveyed a message of deep sympathy and solidarity on behalf of Tarique Rahman and inquired about Shahidul Islam’s medical treatment, providing essential medical assistance.



The visiting delegation included members such as Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Rubel Amin, central legal affairs secretary of DAB Dr. M R Hasan, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader Abdullah Al Misbah, and Mashiur Rahman Mohan.



The family of martyr engineer Shahriar has been facing a series of personal tragedies. Shahriar’s wife has already suffered the loss of both her husband and mother, and now her father is undergoing treatment at the hospital. In this challenging period, Tarique Rahman and ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ have expressed their unwavering support and solidarity with the bereaved family.
