Rangamati: A Letter of Intent (LoI) has been signed between Rangamati Science and Technology University (RSTU) and University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) today at the university here. RSTU Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Professor Dr. Md Atiyar Rahman, and Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences of UMT, Dr. Nazia Binte Musa, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective universities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the agreement was coordinated by Lecturer Mohammad Ejazul Islam from the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources Technology of RSTU and UMT Senior Lecturer Dr. Hassan Ibrahim Sheikh. Under this agreement, students from the Fisheries and Marine Resources Technology Department of RSTU will be able to participate in a one-month internship at UMT, Malaysia, starting next year.
Through this agreement, students and teachers from the Faculty of Agricultural and Biological Sciences at RSTU and the Faculty of Agricultural and Biological Sciences at UMT will have the opportunity to jointly conduct research, cooperate, and publish research articles. They will also organize seminars, engage in academic supervision, exchange students and teachers, and cooperate in any other academic activities as mutually agreed.
This agreement will remain in effect for the next two years and can be renewed thereafter with the consent of both parties.
