Magura: Magura Zila Parishad today distributed cheques totaling Taka 16.5 million to 150 institutions across the district’s four upazilas, aimed at supporting development initiatives.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the cheque distribution programme took place at the Zila Parishad auditorium at 11:00 am. The event was presided over by Administrator and District BNP Convener Ali Ahmed, with Chief Executive Officer Hasina Mumtaz formally handing over the cheques to representatives from the beneficiary institutions.
Officials stated that the allocated funds are intended to implement projects in critical sectors such as education, social development, and infrastructure. They expressed optimism that these initiatives will significantly contribute to the district’s overall development and enhance public services at the grassroots level.
The programme saw attendance from local officials, representatives of the beneficiary organizations, and other stakeholders, highlighting the community’s commitment to fostering regional growth and development.
