Dhaka: Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita announced that the government led by Prime Minister Tareque Rahman plans to excavate and re-excavate 20,000 kilometers of canals over the next five years. Minister Afroza made this statement while laying the foundation stone for a 366-meter bridge on the Dhaleshwari River at Rajoir.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister emphasized the importance of monitoring development projects to maintain quality, urging party leaders and activists to oversee these efforts. Before the foundation stone ceremony, she participated in a views exchange meeting with government officials in Saturia Upazila.
