Tangail: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate the distribution of Krishak Cards from Tangail on April 14. The card distribution programme is scheduled to take place at Shaheed Maruf Stadium, marking a significant event for the local agricultural community.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fisheries and Livestock State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku expressed that the inauguration of the Krishak Card distribution programme from Tangail is a matter of pride and joy for the people of the region. Speaking with journalists after inspecting the venue, Tuku described the Krishak Card as a groundbreaking initiative aimed at advancing the development of farmers.
During his visit, Tuku assessed the preparations and provided necessary instructions to the concerned officials to ensure the programme’s success. Agriculture Secretary Rafiqul E Mohammad and other officials were present during this review.
A preparatory meeting was also held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque. At the meeting, State Minister Tuku emphasized the importance of all concerned officials performing their duties with the utmost responsibility to ensure a successful event.
In a personal gesture at the inauguration event, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will hand over Krishak Cards to 15 farmers, highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector.
