Dhaka: The government today appointed District and Sessions Judge Md Monjurul Hossain as the new Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Bangladesh Legal Aid, replacing SM Arshadul Alam. A gazette notification issued by the Law and Justice Division and signed by Deputy Secretary (Administration-1) Md Masum Billah stated that the order would come into effect immediately.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the government also appointed Deputy Solicitor Sana Md Mahruf Hossain as Solicitor of the Solicitor Wing under the Law and Justice Division. This decision marks a significant change in the leadership of the Directorate of Bangladesh Legal Aid, aiming to enhance the legal aid services provided to the citizens of Bangladesh.
