Chandanaish: Police arrested two people in Chandanaish upazila of the district in possession of an illegal firearm.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals are Babu Marma, a resident of Chemi Dolu Para in Kuhalong union of Bandarban district, and Jamal Uddin of Allahabad Putichhari in Chandanaish upazila. The arrest took place in front of Putichhari School Vita in Kanchanabad union on Wednesday night while the suspects were attempting to sell a firearm.
Chandanaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Ilias Khan stated that a case has been filed against the two under the Arms Act.
