4 Injured as Train Collides with Private Car in Khulna

Khulna: At least four individuals sustained injuries when a train collided with a private car at a level crossing in Khulna city on Sunday.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the incident took place around 4:45 pm in the Afil Gate area. The Khulna-bound ‘Sundarban Express’ train hit the car, which was carrying four passengers, resulting in injuries. Three of the injured have been identified as driver Omi, 25, Sami, 25, and Aymun Dipu, 22, all residents of Shiromoni Paschimpara. The identity of the fourth injured person remains unknown.



Hawladar Sanwar Hossain Masum, the officer-in-charge of Khan Jahan Ali Police Station, reported that the accident happened while the victims were on their way home to the Shiromoni area after cricket practice in Moshiali. The collision left the vehicle severely damaged, propelling it approximately 20 yards away from the railway track to the western side.



Currently, Omi and Sami are receiving medical treatment at a private hospital in the city. Meanwhile, Aymun Dipu and the unidentified victim were given primary treatment and have since returned home.
