Dhaka: Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman left Dhaka for the United States on Saturday on an official visit. During this trip, General Waker-Uz-Zaman is set to engage in several key activities highlighting the contributions of Bangladeshi peacekeepers.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Army Chief will attend a special lecture at the Senate Chamber and will be honored with an award proposed by the Georgia State Capitol. This award recognizes the significant contributions made by Bangladeshi peacekeepers in United Nations missions. The visit underscores the commitment and achievements of Bangladesh in global peacekeeping efforts.
In addition to these engagements, General Waker-Uz-Zaman is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with relevant U.S. officials. These meetings are expected to further strengthen military cooperation and discuss matters of mutual interest between Bangladesh and the United States.
