PM Sends Gift to Shaheed Jamal’s Daughter on Her Wedding in Chattogram

Chattogram: BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended his generosity by sending a gift to Tania Akhter Rumi, the daughter of Shaheed Jamal who was killed during the 2024 Mass Uprising in Chattogram, on the occasion of her wedding.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Prime Minister also covered the wedding expenses for Tania Akhter Rumi. The financial assistance was delivered to Shaheed Jamal’s family at a function held at the Chattogram Press Club this morning, under the leadership of the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon.



The gift was presented on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, who is the main patron of ‘Amra BNP Paribar’, by State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin. During the event, Rumon engaged with Shaheed Jamal’s wife, Taslima Akhter, to inquire about her family’s well-being.



In addition to the wedding gift, Rumon extended congratulations to Zapel Chakma, who successfully passed the Dhaka University admission test, and announced a monthly scholarship for his studies. Furthermore, ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ provided medical assistance to Marzia Akhter Maisha, who is battling blood cancer.



The event was moderated by Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary-1 Zahidul Islam Rony and attended by notable figures including ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ adviser and central BNP leader Md Abul Kashem, member secretary Mokchedul Momin Mithun, and member Masud Rana Liton.



Under the directives of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ is actively working to offer educational scholarships to underprivileged and talented students and to support families affected by previous democratic movements and those who lost their lives in the 2024 mass uprising.
