Narayanganj: The Coast Guard has reinforced security measures on the occasion of the 'Maha Ashtami Snan Festival' of the Hindu community at Langalband in the district. Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan disclosed the information this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, special security measures have been taken by the Coast Guard for the Ashtami Snan Festival held at Langalband in Narayanganj. The festival has drawn a large number of pilgrims and visitors from home and abroad. To ensure their overall safety, the Coast Guard Station Pagla has implemented security arrangements in coordination with other law enforcement agencies.
In addition, regular patrols have been intensified, and a diving team has been kept on standby to prevent any untoward incidents. These security measures will remain in force until the conclusion of the festival.
Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan expressed the hope that people of all religions will be able to celebrate their respective religious festivals in a peaceful, orderly, and safe manner.
