Dhaka: Bangladesh Navy is set to open its ships for public visits at various locations across the country in celebration of the Independence and National Day on March 26. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore these naval ships from 9 am until sunset on the designated day, as announced in an ISPR press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Navy’s initiative allows citizens to visit different ships stationed at key locations. In Dhaka, the BNDB Gangchil will be accessible at Sadarghat, while BNS Atandra will be stationed at the Pagla Naval Jetty in Narayanganj. In Chattogram, visitors can explore BNS Samuddra Obhijan at the Naval Berth. Additionally, BNS Shaheed Akhtar Uddin will be open at the BIWTA Rocket Terminal in Khulna. For those in Mongla, BNS Abu Bakar will be available at the Digraj Naval Berth, and in Barishal, BNS Adamya can be visited at the BIWTA Terminal.
This initiative provides a unique opportunity for the public to engage with the nation’s naval fleet and gain insights into the operations and capabilities of the Bangladesh Navy.
