Dhaka: The government has appointed new director generals at the National Institute of Local Government (NILG) and the Department of Cooperatives. Registrar and Director General of the Department of Cooperatives Md Ismail Hossain has been appointed as the Director General of the National Institute of Local Government (NILG). Meanwhile, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md Selim Fakir has been appointed as the Registrar and Director General of the Department of Cooperatives.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications regarding the appointments on Sunday night. Md Ismail Hossain's transition to the NILG comes as part of a strategic move to enhance leadership within the government institutions. On the other hand, Md Selim Fakir's new role at the Department of Cooperatives marks a significant shift from his previous position as Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
