Dhaka: The Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the Central Jame Mosque of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) is set to take place at 8am this year. Head Imam of the BMU Central Jame Mosque, Hafez Maulana Abdul Ahad, confirmed the information today. Devout Muslims are encouraged to attend the Holy Eid congregation to offer prayers.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, on Eid day, special arrangements have been made to provide quality meals for patients. Additionally, an Eid reunion program is planned for March 24 from 8.30am to 10.30am, with the university offices maintaining their usual schedule.
For the convenience of patients during the Eid holidays, the outdoor department of Bangladesh Medical University will be operational on Thursday (March 19) and Sunday (March 22). On these days, patients can access consultation services from doctors at the outpatient department between 10am and 1pm, as per a BMU notice released today.
It is noteworthy that the outdoor department will be closed from March 17 to March 23. Throughout this period, the hospital's indoor and emergency services will remain operational. However, classes, offices, afternoon specialized consultation services, consultation services of the super-specialized hospital, and the PCR lab will be closed. All activities are scheduled to resume as usual after the Eid holidays on March 24.
