Kishoreganj: A farmer was killed in a road accident in the Achmita area of Katiadi upazila on the Kishoreganj-Bhairab regional road today. The deceased was identified as Emon Mia, 26, son of Khalek Mia of the Charipara area of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police reported that the accident occurred when a truck fell into a roadside ditch while the driver was attempting to avoid an auto-rickshaw. This unfortunate incident resulted in the immediate death of Emon and his cow.
Katiadi Highway Police in-charge Khorshed Alam confirmed the incident, stating that the body has been handed over to Emon's family members.
