Dhaka: India's flag carrier Air India and its low-cost arm Air India Express organized an Iftar and prayer gathering in Dhaka on Monday. The event served as a convergence point for aviation stakeholders, travel agents, and tour operators.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Pranay Verma, was in attendance at the event, which took place at a hotel in the capital. The gathering aimed to reinforce ties within the travel trade sector between India and Bangladesh.
During the event, Air India Country Manager Morgan D'Souza welcomed the attendees and emphasized the airline's commitment to engaging with Bangladesh's travel trade. He underscored the significance of strengthening partnerships with local agents and tour operators to enhance cooperation.
Sohag Hossain, Managing Director of Rhythm Group, Air India's General Sales Agent (GSA) in Bangladesh, was also present at the gathering. The event attracted representatives from leading travel agencies and tour operator companies, showcasing the airline's strong collaboration with the travel industry in Bangladesh.
Air India operates flights to 102 domestic and international destinations, utilizing a fleet composed of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
