Dhaka: Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has returned to his Gulshan residence after spending four days under medical observation at a city hospital.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the minister’s personal assistant, Shahiduzzaman, confirmed that Khosru was discharged and returned home in the afternoon. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest, although he is still attending to urgent official work from home.

Khosru was admitted to United Hospital in Gulshan on March 1 after being diagnosed with pneumonia. Despite his hospitalisation, the minister remained engaged with critical official duties and continues to do so from home.

Amir Khosru is also a member of the BNP Standing Committee and serves as an elected Member of Parliament from the Chattogram-11 constituency in the 13th parliamentary election.
