Dhaka: Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid announced today that agricultural products will be exported on an industrial scale within the next year. The minister made this statement during a greeting exchange with senior officials of the agriculture ministry held in its conference room.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rashid emphasized that the agricultural sector will undergo reorganization and modernization through proper planning, with a focus on strengthening the national economy. He outlined the government’s plans to decrease the import of agricultural products while boosting their export in the upcoming year.
Rashid called for cooperation from all relevant parties to further advance the country’s agriculture sector. During the meeting, the newly appointed State Minister for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Livestock, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, urged officials in the agriculture sector to perform their duties with honesty and dedication.
The event was attended by Agriculture Secretary Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian and other senior officials of the ministry. Before the meeting, officials and employees of the agriculture ministry welcomed the newly appointed minister and state minister with bouquets.
