Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Ali Asgar has been elected unofficially from Pabna-3 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election. He secured a total of 1,47,475 votes, surpassing his nearest rival.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the rival candidate from the BNP, Md Hasan Jafir Tuhin, garnered 1,44,206 votes. The announcement of the results took place at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre, Nirbachan Bhaban, located in Agargaon, the capital.
