Dhaka: Convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP) Nahid Islam has been elected unofficially from the Dhaka-11 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election. He secured a total of 93,872 votes, surpassing his nearest rival, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate MA Qayyum, who received 91,833 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
