Bhola: Miscreants disrupted the voting process at a polling center in the Bhola-1 (Sadar) constituency by detonating crude bombs and snatching ballot papers, leading to a suspension of voting for nearly one and a half hours.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the incident occurred at the Alinagar School and College polling center in Sadar upazila when a group of individuals entered the facility around 12:15 p.m. after setting off crude bombs. The attackers assaulted polling officials, seized 56 ballot papers, and irregularly stamped 76 others.
The voting process was halted for approximately one and a half hours as a result of the chaos. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Arifuzzaman and police officers promptly arrived at the scene to stabilize the situation. During the operation, police arrested an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami at the site.
