Thakurgaon-3 Jatiya Party Candidate Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Vows to Develop Rural Infrastructures

Thakurgaon: Jatiya Party candidate for Thakurgaon-3, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, has pledged to develop rural infrastructures if he is elected in the 13th national polls. Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, who has been elected five times as a member of parliament from Thakurgaon-3, expressed his commitments and aspirations for the national polls during an interview with BSS Thakurgaon district correspondent Zakir Mostafiz Milu.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed outlined his plans to complete several projects he initiated during his previous term. These projects include roads, bridges, culverts, mosques, and temples. He emphasized that these initiatives are the demands of the local people and expressed his intent to continue these developments if re-elected. Additionally, Ahmed mentioned submitting new development projects for the area, aiming for comprehensive improvements.



Addressing concerns about adherence to the electoral code of conduct, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed stated that his team is strictly following the Election Commission’s guidelines. He refrained from commenting on other parties’ actions regarding these regulations.



On the topic of the July Charter referendum, he remarked that it is a matter of public will, allowing people to vote ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ based on their preferences. He also shared his expectations for the upcoming national elections, acknowledging the uncertainty of outcomes and future government policies post-election.



Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has instructed his leaders and workers to engage with voters directly, urging them to assess his past performance in terms of development and integrity. The Thakurgaon-3 constituency, comprising Pirganj and Ranishankail upazilas with 16 unions and two municipalities, has a total of 3,61,044 voters.



A total of 10 candidates, including BNP candidate Md Zahidur Rahman and Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh’s Md Mizanur Rahman, are contesting the polls in Thakurgaon-3 constituency.
