Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has called on voters registered through the ‘Postal Vote BD’ mobile app to complete their voting process promptly and ensure submission of their votes by February 10. This request is directed towards those residing in Bangladesh and participating in the national elections and referendum.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the EC has emphasized the importance of voters submitting their yellow envelopes to the nearest post office by the specified deadline to ensure timely delivery to the Returning Officer. The Commission highlighted that ballots must be completed immediately upon receipt to meet this deadline.

In an earlier statement, the EC also advised all registered postal voters to scan the QR code on their envelopes by February 10 at 11:59 PM Bangladesh time. The Commission warned that failure to scan the QR code would result in ballots being deemed invalid, stressing the necessity of adhering to this requirement to ensure votes are counted.
