Rajshahi: Former Rajshahi City Mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu has assured residents of his unwavering support, emphasizing his dedication to their welfare. "I stood by the people of Rajshahi in the past, I am with them now, and I will remain with them in the future," Minu declared, underscoring his refusal to compromise on their interests.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Minu, the BNP-nominated parliamentary candidate for Rajshahi-2 (Sadar) in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, highlighted the essence of politics as engaging with people, understanding their issues, and working on the ground to address their problems. He articulated these views during his door-to-door outreach, election campaigning, and interaction with local residents at Beldarpara intersection, promoting the Sheaf of Paddy symbol.
Minu pointed out that despite Rajshahi's potential, residents have been deprived of essential civic amenities due to mismanagement and inadequate planning. He stressed the urgent need for effective initiatives in key areas like roads, drainage systems, safe drinking water, healthcare, and employment.
"If Allah grants me the opportunity, all basic rights of the city's residents will be ensured," he promised. Local residents highlighted issues such as water logging, dilapidated roads, insufficient drain cleaning, drug abuse, juvenile gangs, and youth unemployment, which Minu attentively noted.
He assured residents, "Every one of your problems is important to me. I will not only listen but will also work, in coordination with the relevant departments and authorities, to ensure practical solutions." He also appealed to the youth, urging them to avoid drugs and crime, and to focus on education, sports, and social service, emphasizing their role in Rajshahi's future development.
