Khulna: BNP nominee for the Khulna-2 constituency and former MP Nazrul Islam Manju today said he aims to transform Khulna into a modern city through planned development and people-oriented initiatives. He outlined his vision to develop the city with a clean environment and establish it as an industrial hub.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Manju emphasized youth development, stating that young people would be trained through various skill development programmes with ensured employment opportunities. He made these remarks while engaging in mass contact and distributing leaflets in several areas of the city, including Greenland Slum under Ward No. 21 and the No. 7 Ghat area.
Manju highlighted the significance of the upcoming election, noting that following the July uprising, a fascism-free Bangladesh has entered a new phase, raising public expectations from the polls. He expressed his commitment to work towards building a beautiful Bangladesh.
Additionally, Manju stressed the need for collective efforts to rid Khulna of terrorism and drugs, pointing out that eliminating corruption is essential for sustainable development. Leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies, along with local residents, were present during his address.
