Dhaka: World-renowned hosting service provider ‘hosting.com’ has officially launched its business operations in Bangladesh. Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, the Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant on the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, formally inaugurated the operations during a ceremony at a city hotel.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Taiyeb highlighted that hosting.com’s entry into the Bangladeshi market will invigorate various digital services, including server infrastructure, cloud-based solutions, AI technology, search engine optimization, and domain business. This development is expected to increase market competition, enhance service quality, and present new opportunities for users.
Taiyeb also mentioned that the introduction of hosting.com will foster a robust ecosystem, creating job opportunities, accelerating skill development, and broadening the scope for knowledge and technology-based innovation in Bangladesh.
Hosting.com’s CEO, Seb de Lemos, emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing customer feedback regarding prices and packages. He indicated that special initiatives tailored for Bangladeshi customers are forthcoming.
Imran Hossain, Hosting.com’s Bangladesh Operations Manager, stated that the company’s world-class hosting and data infrastructure would unlock new possibilities for local entrepreneurs, startups, and digital businesses. He added that this would bolster the local technology ecosystem and contribute to establishing Bangladesh as a regional digital hub.
During the event, it was announced that hosting.com would offer customer support in Bangla and facilitate payments in local currency to ensure affordable hosting services. The ceremony was also attended by ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury, along with local technology experts and industry representatives.
