Dhaka: Special prayers were held today at the Dhakeshwari National Temple premises seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the prayer meeting was administered by Temple priest Tapan Bhattachariya, while Advocate Tapash Kumar Pal, vice-president of the Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee, presided over the function. The ceremony witnessed a gathering of distinguished personalities and leaders from various religious and political organizations.
The event was attended by prominent figures including Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad president Basudev Dhar, Gono Forum president Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, and Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council acting general secretary Manindra Kumar Nath.
