Rangpur:Saidpur Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at Saidpur Airport in Nilphamari this morning to visit a Durga Puja mandap in Rangpur on the occasion of Maha Navami, the ninth day of the Sharadiya Durga Puja festival. He arrived at the airport at 950 am on a military aircraft and was greeted by various officials, including Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu and State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Prime Minister plans to address two roadside gatherings at Taraganj and Paglapir during his journey from Saidpur to Rangpur. His visit to Rangpur includes a stop at the puja mandap at Radha Gobinda Temple, where he will exchange greetings with devotees.
After completing his visit in Rangpur, Prime Minister Rahman will proceed to Rajshahi to visit a puja mandap at Dharmasabha Temple at 115 pm. Following a brief stop at Rajshahi Circuit House, he is scheduled to attend a public meeting at the playground of Haji Muhammad Mohsin Government High School at 300 pm.
The Prime Minister’s itinerary also includes a visit to Chattogram, where he will visit the puja mandap at JM Sen Hall in Rahmatganj at 530 pm before returning to Dhaka tonight. He is accompanied by several prominent figures, including BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Women and Children Affairs Minister Professor AZM Zahid Hossain.
Earlier, the Prime Minister and his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, visited puja mandaps in Dhaka's Mohakhali and Banani areas. The Sharadiya Durga Puja festivities will conclude tomorrow with the immersion of idols.
