Dhaka: Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, expressed sorrow at the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fayez Ahmad Taiyeb shared a condolence message recognizing Khaleda Zia’s contributions to Bangladesh. He highlighted her role in the development of institutional and women’s education, women’s empowerment, and the growth of the SME sector. He referred to her as a significant figure in the country’s political history, emphasizing her influence during the movement to restore democracy in the 1990s and her participation in parliamentary politics and state governance.
Fayez Ahmad Taiyeb acknowledged her leadership through various challenges and crises, noting her undeniable position and influence in Bangladesh’s multi-party politics. He prayed for the eternal peace of her soul and extended sympathy to her family, BNP leaders, activists, and followers.
