Government Pledges Secure Elections and Warns Against Sabotage: Adilur

Madaripur: Adviser of LGRD and Cooperatives and Housing and Public Works Adilur Rahman Khan today announced that the government is committed to ensuring citizens’ safety and will enforce strict measures against any disruptions to the upcoming election.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Adilur highlighted the government’s determination to conduct a free, fair, and credible election despite potential threats. He stated that any fascist forces attempting to hinder the electoral process will be deterred with the support of the people and firm governmental action.



Adilur, who also serves as the adviser of the Ministry of Industries, made these comments after paying respects at the graves of the July Uprising martyrs and offering tributes at the July Memorial located in Madaripur.



Earlier in the day, Adilur visited the graves of martyrs Naimur Rahman and Mamun at Mother Bazar, where he laid flowers at the July Memorial. He also took the opportunity to inspect the housing project and integrated waste management plant in Shibchar upazila.



Madaripur Deputy Commissioner Md. Jahangir Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Al Noman, and several senior officials accompanied him during these visits.



As part of a comprehensive day-long program, Adilur is scheduled to meet the families of martyrs, visit Shokuni Lake, engage in discussions with the Legal Aid Association, inspect the District Shilpakala Academy, and meet with the district core committee and judiciary in preparation for the upcoming election.
